Our Protect 500CSG gloves are proofed against steam, grease, and liquid spillage to a temperature of 500°C. This means that in a steamy atmosphere hot liquid vapour cannot penetrate the glove to scald the skin. Likewise grease cannot penetrate the glove through to the skin.

This level of protection is achieved by the use of three different layers, of which the innermost layer is a unique modified PU inner membrane.  Combined together, these stop steam, grease, and liquids from making direct contact with your skin.

Your oven will rarely reach half of the temperature these gloves can withstand, so you may ask why you need this degree of protection? The answer is simple. It more than trebles the amount of time you can hold a hot item, and very heavy items can also be held for considerably longer.
